Una iniciativa que recibió el reconocimiento de la Federación Provincial de Padres y el reconocimiento por parte del Ministerio de Educación.
El Colegio Público de Hurchillo ha puesto en marcha “la mochila de la imaginación viajera” en todo los cursos de educación primaria y que se fundamenta en un libro de lectura para los padres y un libro de lectura para los alumnos .La mochila contiene también un “libro de bitácora” para cada libro y un cuaderno de instrucciones.
La mochila está en los hogares durante dos semanas y los padres deben leer el libro asignado para ello y realizar un comentario en el libro de bitácora para padres .Al mismo tiempo, los niños deben leer el libro asignado y realizar un comentario junto a un dibujo en el cuaderno de bitácora.
La experiencia se hacía realidad en el colegio durante los dos años anteriores a la pandemia con unos resultados muy importantes y con una participación total por todas las familias. La Federación Provincial de Padres “Gabriel Miro” premió esta iniciativa como la mejor de la provincia de Alicante en el trabajo del fomento de la lectura en los hogares.
El Colegio Público de Hurchillo realiza un programa ambicioso de fomento lector, por lo que en su compromiso tiene como objetivo el que cada alumno lea al año un total de quince libros .Otro de los aspectos destacados son las jornadas de literatura infantil que han sido calificadas por el ministerio de educación como una de las iniciativas más innovadoras de España.
El jefe de estudios Ariel Platas comentaba “La puesta en marcha de la mochila de la imaginación viajera es un proceso de acercar la lectura a cada uno de los hogares, con unos resultados muy fabulosos”.
Esta iniciativa se realiza con el apoyo de la editorial Edelvives y el apoyo de la Asociación de Padres del Colegio. Joaquín Marza Mercé, director del colegio, declaraba “hay un compromiso constante del centro en pro de la lectura y un objetivo real de hacer ciudadanos más libres y críticos”.
